Choose one of these three themes when sending in a photo for the club showcase.
City Life
City life photography focuses on buildings, streets, signs, sidewalks, traffic, people, and the small details that make a place feel alive. A strong city life photo might show a quiet downtown street after rain, a bright storefront, a busy crosswalk, or an interesting shadow on a wall. This category works well because it allows photographers to find beauty in normal places that people pass every day without noticing. Good city photos usually have clear lines, strong lighting, and a subject that pulls the viewer into the scene.
Nature Scenes
Nature scenes photography is about capturing the outdoors in a way that feels calm, dramatic, colorful, or interesting. This category can include trees, flowers, animals, clouds, water, trails, fields, insects, sunsets, or seasonal changes. A successful nature photo does not have to be taken far away or in a famous location. It can be created in a backyard, school parking lot, local park, or neighborhood sidewalk if the photographer pays attention to light, texture, color, and timing. The main goal is to show the natural world with care and creativity.
Action Photography
Action photography captures movement, speed, energy, and timing. This category can include sports, marching band, dancing, pets playing, students running, cars moving, or any moment where motion is the focus. Since action happens quickly, photographers should try to capture the strongest moment, such as a jump, throw, turn, kick, or expression. A good action photo often has sharp focus, strong framing, and a background that does not distract from the subject. Even if the photo has some motion blur, it can still work if it makes the image feel exciting.
